Toronto Yakuta Summer Sunset Cruise: JETAA to host special event on cruise coming September

The Japanese government sponsored exchange programme offers university graduates opportunities to work in Japan as either an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) team teaching with a Japanese Teacher of English in elementary and secondary schools or a Coordinator for International Relations (CIR) in selected local government offices in Japan. Its affiliated association, JET Alumni Association, helps those who worked in Japan readjust to life in Toronto, and works with the General Council of Japan to organize events for the community. JETAA Toronto was founded in the fall of 1991, a forum for former participants of the Japan Exchange Program to be connected.

On September 14th, 2019 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, JETAA will be hosting a special event: Toronto Yakuta Summer Sunset Cruise. Held at Toronto Harbour, the event will be celebrating the 90th anniversary of Canadian-Japanese diplomatic relationships as well as the exciting events that will be held in Japan, including World Rugby Tournament, and the Olympics. Though held by JETAA, those who are part of Toronto’s Japanese community are welcome. The event will have a DJ, drinks, and food.
