RADWIMPS drummer Tomofumi Yamaguchi will appear at the University of Toronto for a special talk and live performance.
After being diagnosed with musician’s dystonia—a neurological condition that made drumming difficult—Yamaguchi spent nearly a decade facing personal and creative challenges. Through research and technology, he found a new path back to music.
The event will feature a live demonstration of VXD (Voice Controlled Drum-set), an innovative system that allows drums to be played by voice, developed by Yamaha and Keio University.
